be still and see the salvation of god

Salvation of the lord, please read 2nd chronicles 20

such a wonderful chapter in chronicles it truly explains how loving our god is when Judah was under the reign of king Jehoshaphat things were going well because king Jehoshaphat feared the lord and walked in his statutes and command and with him all the nation turned to god and walked in the way of the lord. Now when the kingdom of Moab, Ammon and mount seir made an alliance against Judah and came to attack the news came to king Jehoshaphat, he and all Judah and Jerusalem gathered before god before his sanctuary and all the nation fasted and in the midst of this huge congregation King Jehoshaphat said 

O Lord God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven, and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations, and in Your hand is there not power and might, so that no one is able to withstand You? 

7Are You not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever? 

8And they dwell in it, and have built You a sanctuary in it for Your name, saying,

 9‘If disaster comes upon us—sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine—we will stand before this temple and in Your presence (for Your name is in this temple), and cry out to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save.’ 

10And now, here are the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir—whom You would not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them and did not destroy them— 

11here they are, rewarding us by coming to throw us out of Your possession which You have given us to inherit. 

12O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”

here in verse 12 we can clearly see how the king has humbled himself before the lord not only the king but the whole nation is fasting and standing before his holy sanctuary, here is proof for whoever feels it is okay to worship at home and not go to the church here is the proof that there is power in the prayer when all of us are united in one accord we may be different instruments but the melody we all play requires us to be one in mind and heart in humility we must all approach god and play gods heavenly melody. it is only possible when all the people study the bible diligently the word of god and humbly ask for the spirit for the revelation of gods holy word. then we will know the truth and the truth will unite us all.

i love how in verse 12 the king expressed how the whole nation relied on god sometimes in our trouble we try to take matters in our own hands and often forget that there is nothing too hard for the lord instead of seeking god first we try to use our minds to solve a problem but we don't have a full picture we only know something that is in front of us but if we seek god first like king Jehoshaphat and confess to the lord our weakness our lack of knowledge & just lean on the lord and say " but our eyes are upon you" how secure we can be in his arms!!? how mighty is our lord! is there anything in this universe that is greater than our lord, in this modern world people forget that there is a god in heaven who is mighty and he holds their breath in them instead of depending on god the schools now a days teach from a very young age that our existence is a coincidence there is no god only science! how pathetic science exists because of god! god doesn't need science to prove his existence rather its science that needs god for its existence. how it must hurt god when all these little ones are taken away from him!

all of their curiosity and imagination and most importantly their relationship with god is attacked in those schools and they murder the children with an eternal death!

we were made with love think of a plant if we plant it in a place were there is no living water how can we expect that plant to grow. if young plants i.e., our minds are expected to grow without the living water i.e., Jesus we are as good as dead we need Jesus in our lives just as the sunflower needs the sun we need the son of the living god his words are our food we must feast on it daily in abundance
